The legacy of the project will be preserved by publishing the results of the documentation of cultural heritage as presented in the exhibitions; and by promoting specific cultural aspects of the heritage of sheep farming and pastoral life that are of particular interest, historically, socially and culturally. These will include:
- The documentation of the cultural heritage shown in the exhibition of the project, from the pre-industrial era till today, in an attractive and reader-friendly way, through illustrated catalogues, accompanied by text in many different European languages.
- The support of the exhibitions with written explanatory material
- The production of a seminal publication that will be addressed to both professionals and the general public, putting together the European tradition and heritage related to the sheep.
- The revitalisation of certain aspects of pastoral life, which have had particular significance for the formulation of the cultural and landscape aspects of rural areas, with a meaning today, of Europe, such as pastoral music, tranhumance routes and traditional cuisine.
